Year 1 & 2 Trip – Peak District

In February our Year 1 and 2 classes took a field trip to Castleton. This was part of their Geography topic on the Peak District. The children explored the caves and the village, and were encouraged to compare it with Wythenshawe.

The children really enjoyed walking around Castleton village, and they got to feed the local ducks!

Manchester Central Library

All our children love to read, and libraries are a great way to get new books whenever you want them. Year 2 got to visit the largest library in Manchester – Manchester Central Library. They had a great time looking at the books, and performing a show!

Year 5 – Irish Music Festival

Our Year 5 children got to attend a celebration of Irish Music for St Patrick’s Day. They were able to play different instruments, learn new songs and heard a live band perform.

Year 6 trip – Imperial War Museum

Children in year 6 visited the Imperial War Museum where they learned about the impacts of war, both in their locality and in the wider world. The museum provided many artefacts, vehicles and documents which contributed to our WWII History topic at the time.
