We are a nut-free school.

At Ss John Fisher & Thomas More Catholic Primary School, we are committed to keeping all of our pupils and staff safe. Some of our community may have a severe nut allergy, and even small amounts of nuts or traces of nuts can cause a serious allergic reaction.

For this reason, we are a nut-free school and ask all parents and carers to support us by ensuring that:

No nuts or nut products are included in packed lunches or snacks.
Food items labelled “may contain nuts” or “may contain traces of nuts” are not brought into school.
Labels are checked carefully before food is packed for school.

Examples of foods that should not be brought into school include peanut butter sandwiches, nut cereal bars, chocolate spreads containing nuts, nut-based snacks and any product that may contain nuts.

If a packed lunch contains an item that is not suitable, we may need to remove it to ensure the safety of all children.

We appreciate your cooperation and understanding in helping us provide a safe environment for every member of our school community. If you are unsure whether a product is suitable, please contact the school office for advice.
