The Wythenshawe Catholic Academy Trust wishes to appoint an Assistant Headteacher at SS John Fisher & Thomas More Catholic Primary School 1 , to take a strategic role in the leadership and management of the school in partnership with the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team.

We are looking for an exceptional and inspirational leader who would be able to support and add expertise to our growing and increasingly successful team at SS John Fisher & Thomas More while on our exciting journey of rapid school
improvement since securing a “good” judgement from Ofsted in 2018. The successful candidate will:

Be a practising Catholic with a strong commitment to the Catholic Ethos and vision of the school

Be willing and able to lead the development of Religious Education and the Catholic Life of the school demonstrating passion and enthusiasm

Be an outstanding teacher with high expectations of pupils’ achievement and behaviour

Be knowledgeable and up to date with current educational practice

Be an excellent leader and manager with strong interpersonal skills

Be able to motivate others and work as part of a team

Be an excellent communicator with a calm disposition and welcoming manner

Be able to work with parents and the wider parish community

Be able to demonstrate the ability to raise standards in teaching and learning
